Technology, art, and user driven research can create beautiful and seamless solutions that are meaningful to both consumer needs and business goals. I find that UX design is most successful when establishing a level of empathy with the user and using that to drive user centered design.
I have been working professionally in IT since 2011. Being involved in IT has given me the chance to blend my passion for the latest and greatest technology with providing technical business solutions. I use these skills to deploy appropriate technology to solve problems in businesses and organizations.
I like to make websites! Everything from the setup and layout to the design and creation of the overall aesthetic of the site, I love the entire process. I have experience working in a robust CMS like Wordpress or Squarespace as well as building a site from the ground up (like this one!) using a framework like Bootstrap.
Hi there! My name is Ben Hamler and up top is my dog, Marin. I’m a UX Designer and IT professional with a background in support and system administration. I currently live in Minnesota and work for Howden Tiger in Edina, Minnesota. Coming from an IT background, I strive to keep my work user focused by translating complex problems and processes into easy to understand and meaningful solutions. Whether it be UX design or IT, user centered experiences are key.
I love to play with and learn new technologies. I find myself thriving the most when working with other like-minded individuals who share common interests and goals.
Other things that I enjoy include: all things Nintendo, my Onewheel, snowboarding, tech projects, and most importantly, Marin.
